Staff Excellence Awards

The inaugural College of Education Staff Excellence Award recognizes a UNI staff member in the College of Education.

The recipient of the award will have demonstrated consistent outstanding contributions in support of those served by the College of Education, including faculty, staff, students, administrators and the broader community. COE staff  (full-time or part-time) who have worked at the college in a continuous appointment for two or more years are eligible for nomination.

Selection criteria will include a points-based ranking based on:

  • outstanding support
  • initiative
  • staff engagement
  • collaboration

Criteria were developed by members of the Staff Excellence Awards Committee, which includes Ken Hayes, Elana Joram, Ryan Scholl and Kristin Soppe. Its members will also evaluate nominations.

Nominations due April 24

The Dean, other college administrators, department heads, program directors, department committees, individual faculty, staff, or students can nominate. Self-nominations will not be accepted. Nominations and letters of support should clearly identify and document how the nominee meets each of the criteria listed in the selection criteria.

The recipient of the inaugural award will be announced at the expanded All Faculty & Staff Fall Retreat on August 18.
