Becoming a Teacher

Support for all teacher education students at UNI

The Educator Preparation Program team assists all UNI students working toward a teaching degree, particularly in terms of placement, assessment and preparation for licensure. We're here to:

  • orient and guide you toward formal admission to Teacher Education
  • work with you, teacher education faculty, mentor teachers and school districts to secure and support your placements for clinical experiences, internships and student teaching
  • assist you in monitoring your progress
  • prepare you for final steps toward licensure upon completion of your degree
