Ready for that final step in your educational journey? Seeking the flexibility of online while connecting with a leading program in educator preparation?
The Doctor of Education (EdD) program offered at the University of Northern Iowa prepares you for that next step as a leader and expert who will help transform today’s formal and nonformal education. You have the flexibility of:
- A three-year plan of study, two courses per semester with delivery primarily online
- A 48-credit-hour program (24 hours professional core, 15 hours intensive study, 9 hours dissertation)
- Five specialized academic fields to choose from:
- Educational Leadership (Superintendent, Principal and Special Education Director)
- Curriculum and Instruction
- Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs
This doctoral program is delivered in cooperation with Online & Distance Education. UNI is a proud member of the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED), a consortium of members committed to making EdD programming rigorous and relevant for scholar-practitioners.
