Excellence in Education, Pre-Service Educator
While we know that our pre-service educators are outstanding and have the potential for greatness, we also recognize that there are pre-service educators who are standing out and displaying excellence above expectation. We want to acknowledge these acts of brilliance and excellence and thank you for sharing these situations with us.
Skills
The pre-service educator is demonstrating exceptional vital skills in one or more of the following areas: speaking, writing, reading, listening, organization, planning, and/or time management.
Content Knowledge
The pre-service educator is demonstrating content knowledge at a superior level. This knowledge may include demonstration of deep conceptual understanding, problem solving, procedural understanding, and factual accuracy.
Pedagogy
Pre-service educators who demonstrate exceptional skills in pedagogy may display excellence in executing instructional strategies, classroom management, respect for diversity, and/or outstanding rapport with students.
Professionalism
Pre-service educators demonstrating excellence in professionalism may display outstanding rapport with school personnel, responsibility, initiative, judgment, honesty, emotional coping strategies, respect, professional attire and other dispositions.
