Graduate Assistantships

With a graduate assistantship, as a full-time student you can gain experience in your field while working toward your degree. These are a mix of teaching and research positions. You can apply for graduate assistant (GA) positions as a master’s or doctoral student, pending position availability.

Graduate assistantships for students enrolled in College of Education (COE) graduate programs may be awarded through the Division of Graduate Studies within the College of Graduate Research and Online programs (GRO), departments or grant funds. Regardless of the funding source, all graduate students should apply for a graduate assistantship through the following link

A graduate assistantship stipend applies to a position within the College of Education. You will be matched with a work assignment aligning college and program needs with your interests and career goals. The COE Office of Graduate Studies will coordinate your work assignment in consultation with department heads, center directors and program coordinators, keeping college, department and program priorities in mind. Completing an application does not guarantee a graduate assistantship position.
