Kathleen M. Green

Kathleen M. Green graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree (1972) in Physical Education and Health, thereafter teaching/coaching and supervising Wartburg College student teachers in the Denver Public Schools, Denver, Iowa. She returned to UNI as an adjunct instructor (1984-1990) in the School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services, earning a Master of Arts degree (1989) in Health Promotion/Fitness Management.
Kathleen served (1990-1997) as coordinator of Wellness Promotion, first in the School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services and then in University Health Services, before serving as director (1997-2014) of Wellness and Recreation Services and director (2000-2014) of University Health Services. She presented at state, regional and national conferences and was recognized by the National Wellness Conference for Colleges with the Family Wellness Award. Kathleen served on numerous university action, advisory or advocacy committees and task force groups and has been recognized for her overall work and leadership with the UNI Diversity Matters Award, UNI Creating a Responsible Environment and Sustainability Award and the Iowa Board of Regents Sta Excellence Award.
