Bibiana Julin

What attracted you to UNI and the College of Education?
My friend is the RAPIL Coordinator at UNI. We came to visit her over winter break last year, and she showed us around Cedar Falls and Waterloo. We loved the area (in the winter, no less!) and decided to move here.

Previous experience?
I have 20 years of teaching experience in kindergarten, first grade, and third grade. I have taught in New Mexico, Hawaii, and Florida. Kindergarten was my favorite grade to teach!

Describe an experience that reinforces why you enjoy what you do. 
I am extremely organized and empathetic. Being a classroom teacher, you learn how to work on a team, organize your time, and support not only your students, but your teammates, and parents as well. I look forward to bringing these skills to the UNI Department of Teaching.

What drove your interest in your selected discipline?
I am very passionate about teaching! While out of the classroom, I look forward to supporting faculty members and students through the academic process of becoming an educator.
