Early STEM Education Minor

Bringing STEM education to early and elementary education

STEM education – the intersection of science, technology, engineering and math – benefits all levels of learners to think critically and solve problems. That includes the focus of this minor, students from PreK-2nd grade. With this minor, you’ll better understand how engaging children ages 4 to 9 in daily STEM experiences helps them develop as innovators and scientists in the future.

This specialized minor positions you for impact within your school and community. It does not lead to an endorsement, but lays a foundation that adds to your mastery and marketability through understanding of the impact of STEM integration.

The minor is a valuable add-on for both early childhood and elementary education majors.
