Ferden is a retired master educator, having taught 35 years in the Jesup Community School District. She currently is working as an Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Department of Literacy, Early Childhood and Special Education at the University of Northern Iowa. She is having so much fun working with the students at UNI!

- BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Literacy, University of Northern Iowa
Teaching Interests
- I love teaching literacy.... It can be a part of every subject in every class being taught.
- My favorite part about teaching is helping students find the joy in learning.
- Sharing the importance of learning to read then reading to learn and having fun with both is my biggest goal in teaching.
