What attracted you to UNI and the College of Education?
When I moved to Iowa, I was told numerous times that the University of Northern Iowa was the 'teaching college'. Throughout my time as an educator, I have heard from numerous UNI students and alumni that their time at UNI was an excellent experience.
What do you hope students learn from you?
I hope they learn that mistakes are vital to learning, for themselves and their future students. I hope they pass that lesson on to their students, so we can foster a growth mindset in our education system.
