Jessica McMurrin

Jessica received her B.A. in communication studies and a dance minor at the University of Iowa. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Community Health and Recreation. In addition to her studies and graduate assistantship, she works as a dance instructor at Fusion Dance & Performing Arts. Her goal for her master's is to help children discover the joy and freedom that come from engaging in recreation and sports within a community. She has a deep passion for youth and nature and hopes to find a career that incorporates both. As a graduate assistant, her role is to assist in recruitment efforts for the undergraduate RTNL program. She works browsing fairs, reaches out to prospective students, and collaborates with faculty and supervisor on media marketing and student and alumni outreach. Jessica also teaches a one-credit hip hop fitness class.
