Karinne Tharaldson joined the UNI College of Education in September 2025. She brings a strong background in educational leadership and curriculum development to UNI.
She was drawn to UNI and the College of Education because of its strong reputation for preparing educators who make a lasting difference in schools and communities. “One of the most rewarding experiences in my career was leading a district initiative to expand access to advanced coursework for underrepresented students,” she shares. “Seeing students thrive when given the right opportunities reminds me why I do this work—removing barriers and helping every learner reach their full potential.”
Her areas of expertise include K–12 educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, equity in education, and college and career readiness.
