Dr. Robin Dada, Professor, at the University of Northern Iowa is the Department Head of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education. Dr. Dada began her journey as an educator as a high school student, served as a music, science, and mathematics teacher, and curriculum specialist, and launched her career in academia after completing graduate work at the University of Oregon. She has worked with curriculum reform since the 90’s in the United States while at Sam Houston State University and in the United Arab Emirates, recently joining UNI to also work with program evaluation and continuous improvement, and served on the development team for the Ed.D program. Dr. Dada has engaged in research on women’s leadership, the education of women in science and mathematics, educator preparation, educational quality assurance, and educational development and access in the Middle East and the USA. She has published a variety of chapters, articles, and working papers in these areas, as well as a book looking at educational excellence and continuous improvement from a global perspective through the lens of western standards. She is committed to providing educational access to learning across the lifespan.
