What drove your interest in your discipline? I liked working with people and I liked learning new things. Becoming a teacher and later an administrator allowed me to do both.

What attracted you to UNI and the College of Education? UNI has a great reputation for preparing students in the area of teaching. I am thrilled to be a part of a great team of people that prepare teachers for tomorrow’s school systems.

Why do you enjoy what you do? I have enjoyed watching students grow and mature into responsible community members! It is always nice when a former student tells you how something you said helped them make good choices in their life.

What is your teaching philosophy? Everyone can learn! It's our job to find the spark that creates the fire within them to make it meaningful.
