Environmental Resource Management

Program Description

If you are looking for a program that gets you out of the office setting, the interdisciplinary environmental resource management program may be for you.

The ERM major is a collaboration among four departments (biology, geography, earth and environmental science and health, recreation and community services) from across UNI which enables it to offer a non-departmental interdisciplinary alternative to other programs currently offered at UNI.

This program prepares you for career options in management-oriented corporate, government and nonprofit organizations.

The ERM B.A. program offers four focus areas that you can choose from:

  • Ecosystems
  • Geosystems:
  • Resource administration (for students interested in positions dealing with non-profit agencies, recreation and human services and tourism).
  • Environmental compliance
