Chelsea Lowe (MSE, ATC, LAT) joined UNI in 2016 as an assistant Athletic Trainer, directly responsible for the Volleyball program and student athlete secondary insurance coordination. She also serves as an instructor and clinical preceptor for the athletic training department. 

Prior to UNI, Lowe served as an assistant athletic trainer at Bowling Green State University from 2012-2016. She worked directly the Falcon football and swimming and diving programs. Bowling Green captured two Mid-American Conference championships and took part in four bowl games in her tenure with the Falcons. She also supervised coverage of gymnastics, softball, track and field, cross country and cheerleading programs. She served as the BGSU athletic department's representative on the school's LGBTQ Advisory Board. She also served as a clinical preceptor for the athletic training education department. 

She received her bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science from the University of Northern Colorado in 2009. She earned a master’s degree in sport management from the University of Kansas in 2011.

Following a stint as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Kansas, Lowe worked as an intern at the University of Denver where she was responsible for coverage of the Pioneer volleyball and women’s ski teams.

She and her husband, Benjamin, have a son, Tyler. The family resides in Cedar Falls.
