UNI HPELS Hall of Excellence - 2013 : The University of Northern Iowa School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services hall of Excellence was developed to recognize former graduates who have distinguished themselves professionally. This year marks the TENTH anniversary of the Hall of Excellence celebration, and one of the inductees was Panther head football coach Mark Farley.

Pat Stock-New Hampton/Class of 1955 Alumn : During a reunion for the Class of 1955, these past College of Education students talk about how they've helped shape athletic programs around the country, all thanks to their time at UNI.

Panther Sports Talk - Featuring Cassie Reilly-Boccia: UNI's College of Education is a very diverse college, offering many different types of programs that deal with education. Professors Robin Lund and Travis Ficklin are working on an exciting new research program related to the sport of softball.

Panther Sports Talk - Featuring Amy Brown: Amy Brown has always given 100 percent in whatever she does...competing for the UNI volleyball team or studying to follow her parent's footsteps to being a teacher. This summer, she was forced into a spectator role, not for volleyball practice, but for the 2012 London Olympics where she watched her cousin, Amanda Smock, represent the U.S. on the world's largest stage.

Panther Sports Talk - Featuring McKena Carlson: Major in Physical Education. In spite of not recording an official at-bat yet in her career, McKena has earned a full-ride scholarship based on her leadership and character. Her contribution to the team on the field has been limited to pinch running. Coach Jacobs has stated she is one of the kids of greatest character he's ever coached.

Panther Sports Talk - Featuring Erin Zaideman: Double major in elementary education and middle school education  and starting soccer goalie Erin Zaideman  is very involved in numerous clubs and organizations around campus and in our community.

Panther Sports Talk - Featuring Joey Lazor: Joey Lazor has been dominate this wrestling season and is considered one of the best 141 pound wrestlers in the country. But Joey knows he couldn't be where he is today without the support of others.

Panther Sports Talk - Featuring Amy Swisher: This fall, the UNI athletic department inducted its newest members into its prestigious Hall of Fame, and one of those honored was former UNI women's basketball player Amy Swisher.

Panther Sports Talk - Featuring Chris Foster: Current staff member Chris Foster was a UNI student athlete from 2000 to 2005. A remarkable student athlete, Chris Foster has taken his degree and used it to impact many lives. January 2013.

Panther Sports Talk - Featuring Jacqui Kalin: This season, Jacqui Kalin will be chasing UNI's career scoring record and career assist mark. But, her road to this point has been difficult, as she's had to overcome an ACL tear that kept her out all of last season. Her drive to get back has done more than put Jacqui back on the court, it's inspired an entire team. January 2013.

Interview with Dr. Doris Corbett, new director of UNI's School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services:  Dr. Corbett brings a wealth of experience to this position including serving as the department head at Howard University.  She's authored numerous professional journal articles and academic publications, held many leadership positions, and has been the recipient of many prestigious honors and awards.  November 2012.

Garrett Scott, Movement and Exercise Science major in the College of Education: The Panthers senior from Bettendorf High School was under great leadership in high school with his father, Hall of Fame Coach Larry Scott, leading his Bettendorf football team.  Now after 4 years of playing for the Panthers  he's ready to jump into the coaching ring himself.  November 2012.

UNI's Division of Athletic Training: The mission of the Division of Athletic Training at UNI is to promote professionalism, scholarship, service and other significant contributions to the field of athletic training through cooperation. November 2012.

UNI's Division of Health Promotion and Education: UNI's Health Promotion and Education Program helps promote the health of the general public using a wide variety of methods in a wide variety of settings. This major helps students acquire the skills and abilities to develop, implement and evaluate health education programs in a wide variety of settings. November 2012.

UNI's Division of Leisure, Youth and Human Services:The Leisure, Youth and Human Services major at UNI is one of 101 accredited programs in the U.S. The academic program values practical, experiential education that provides students a transition from theory to practice. November 2012.

UNI's Division of Physical Education: UNI's School of Health, Physical Education & Leisure Services offers a Physical Education Program, which has a rich history and tradition. The division is dedicated to preparing professionals to plan. November 2012.
