C&I Academic Divisions

Curriculum and Instruction is home to seven academic divisions offering undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as endorsements, minors, certificates and continuing education graduate credits. Areas of emphasis include:

Early Childhood Education

Learn to teach children from birth to 9 years of age.

Elementary Education

Train to be a teacher for students in kindergarten through 6th grade.

Middle Level Education

Specialize in teaching young adolescents.

Literacy Education

Emphasize reading and language arts in an undergraduate minor or advanced degree.

Instructional Technology

Explore cutting-edge technology to support teaching and learning (K-12 or corporate emphasis) while earning an undergraduate minor, master’s degree, or technology facilitator certificate.

School Library Studies

Undertake a minor or masters degree to become a K-12 teacher librarian.

Education of the Gifted

Specialize in teaching gifted and talented students.
