Christopher R. Edginton

Dr. Christopher R. Edginton served as director (1991-2010) of the School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services and provided on-campus secretarial and administrative assistance to Dr. Elinor A. Crawford and Dr. William R. Thrall in the planning and construction of the Hall of Excellence. Chris was one of the team of three (Thrall/Edginton/ Bean) who planned and scheduled the annual Hall of Excellence ceremonies for over ten years.

Chris played a leadership role in the conceptual design and delivery of the Hall of Excellence ceremonies while being instrumental in maintaining the high quality of the annual events.

Chris has been one of the most reliable and dedicated supporters of the Hall of Excellence and continues to provide exemplary support and service within the Hall of Excellence Production Team and Award Committee.

Therefore, be it resolved, that the University of Northern Iowa, College of Education and the School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services take great pride and enthusiasm in presenting this Honorary Hall of Excellence Award to outstanding colleague Dr. Christopher R. Edginton.
