Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Issues and realities of diversity, equity and inclusion touch all facets of the College of Education. It’s part of the fabric of coursework in areas such as adapted physical education, special education and school psychology; found in dialogue on public health, human relations and the connection between classroom and communities; and, reflected in annual outreach activities and ongoing research.
And it’s part of who we are as faculty, staff and students, with the richness of backgrounds, perspectives and areas of expertise that we all bring to each and every day.
Yet, we realize that’s not enough.
We’re listening to students, working with community partners, focused on greater diversity in recruitment from all angles. All to improve cultural understanding and competencies in whatever profession you have chosen. To ensure a more representative student and professional community. Most importantly, to prepare you to teach, work and lead in a world that's ever changing.
